Azumi's September Art -Healing Power of the Moon

As we transit from the summer to the autumn...

I have finally completed my book, which is now in the hands of my publisher and had some space to reflect and redirect my creativity from writing to art.

September is the month we transit from the summer to the autumn. In Japan, we await for the September full moon to have our ritual of TSUKIMI, moon viewing, to express our appreciation for the autumn harvest. I have always associated September with the moon since I was a little girl. I was sad to say goodbye to the summer filled with joy, but always comforted by the gentle September moon......smiling like the Mona Lisa in the sky, telling me everything will be ok.....

TSUKI

Moon in peace

Moonlight embraces me gently,
Transform my tears into the golden light,
Gently, like the touch of a feather.

Above : Japanese Calligraphy Art, with black sumi ink with a feather touch of gold, is completed with an elegant Japanese Obi fabric from my kimono collection.

Below : I also have transformed my calligraphy into a refined, elegant abstract interpretation, using traditional Japanese brush techniques. This piece embodies simplicity and tranquillity, staying true to the essence of Japanese calligraphy.
